Reluctant raise

▼ TYPE  Poker tell       ▼ TIME  1 minute, 11 seconds
Video notes

This is one of the most powerful tells in poker. It’s less obvious among professional players, as a group, but it’s still there. Bonus notes

The Laws of Tells at the end of many of these videos are extra information and don’t always apply to the preceding tell.

  1. I love it when another player says something like “well, the book says I have to raise here, but I’m not sure about it.” Huge hand.

    1. @Gary R. Reed , depending on how long I have been playing with the “alleged” book follower , I love to comment with …Really ? it was my understanding that up until last week you didn’t KNOW HOW to READ !! If they get FLUFFY I wait until EVERYTHING COOL’S DOWN and then say I guess that doesn’t stop you from paying someone to read it to you ?
