Play or pass?

▼ TYPE  Poker tell       ▼ TIME  1 minute, 3 seconds
Video notes

Whenever we consider betting, it’s profitable to know whether an opponent is more likely to play or pass. Will that opponent fold, call, or raise? Obviously, we won’t always know, but here’s a common, hard-to-spot tell that gives us an answer.

Bonus notes

The Laws of Tells at the end of many of these videos are extra information and don’t always apply to the preceding tell.

AVAILABLE: You can visit our STORE at Poker1 to purchase your full-definition DVD of these tells!

  1. Mike, it is time to update this site and you do not seem to have the time or energy to do so. You’ve delayed it often enough. I have a great web designer that I employ who can do it all for you and the rate will be so insignificant that you won’t be able to say, “no.” Her name is Rebecca Gallant. Please go to my site to see an example of her work (scribaltales.com). I am sure, within the month, you’ll be up and running.

    1. Hi, Daniel —

Yours is a nice-looking site. Actually Poker1.com looks exactly as I intend it to look. The organization of content will not work with conventional site builds, using Dreamweaver or Expression Web, or similar (although we currently use Expression Web for some things at Poker1).

Content management is fundamental to the thousands of interrelated entries found here. Hopefully, you’ll understand this better when the project is complete. We’re using a highly modified version of WordPress — not targeted to blogging, but to CMS (content management). There will also be straight HTML pages in what will be known at the “Poker1 Outer World,” coming soon.

Thanks for the suggestion. And good luck with your science fiction/fantasy e-zine at scribaltales.

      Straight Flushes,
      Mike Caro
