My poker confession: Too much flair vs. focus

Changed entries or pages

Removed extra space between “I’ve” and “created” in “Why a new Poker1? Tournament insanity (Caro blog)”

Changed letter corresponding to correct answer from “(a)” to “(b)” for answer to question #9 in “Targeted poker quiz 27: 7-stud (advanced).” The correct answer was explained, but the letter was wrong. (Reported by Thomas Foster.)

Changed the answer choice (d) for question #10 in “Targeted poker quiz 30: Psychology (advanced)” from “there are no disadvantages to…” to “all above and more are advantages — there are no disadvantages to…,” because the word “disadvantages” by itself is confusing for a question that asked, “… which of the following is an advantage?” Change in answer section, too. (Suggested by Thomas Foster.)

Also changed as above for question #5 in “Targeted poker quiz 39: Review (advanced).” (Suggested by Thomas Foster.)

Added explanatory “(Question should be answered as if it were asked following the 2005 WSOP. Bracelet counts have changed since.)” before question #1 in “Targeted poker quiz 34: History (advanced).” Add in answer section, too. (Reported by Thomas Foster.)

Changed name from “Stu Ungar” to “Chip Reese” in answer to question #1 in “Targeted poker quiz 35: Great players (advanced).” The answer given (a) was correct, and Reese’s age at induction into the Poker Hall of Fame (40) was correct, but inexplicably the text cited Ungar (who was inducted posthumously), rather than Reese as the youngest player every to be inducted. (Reported by Thomas Foster.)

Added explanatory “(Question should be answered as if it were asked following the 2005 WSOP. Bracelet counts have changed since.)” before question #6 in “Targeted poker quiz 37: Tournaments (advanced).” (Reported by Thomas Foster.)

Changed “perflexed” to “perplexed” in “After 24 years, poker history repeats itself.” (Reported by Thomas Foster.)

Functionality added, discontinued, or changed…

Repaired mysterious glitch in current change log that is causing it to appear as HTML in both the code and visual tabs in WordPress editor. (Currently must use Windows Live Writer for visual display of content.) (Note: This fixed itself with the update to WordPress 3.0.)

Other…

Added “My poker confession: Too much flair vs. focus” to Spotlight

Removed “Strange: Big losses by keeping poker streaks alive” from Spotlight
