Don’t ridicule opponents’ mistakes. You’ll motivate them, and they’ll play better. Always make it as comfortable as possible for your opponents to lose.
When you do this, those players choose to play their borderline hands against you and not against opponents who make the experience less pleasant. This means you get more calls and win more money when you have an advantage.
Bad manners
The only strategically acceptable exception is you’ve busted them permanently. Then if you ridicule them, it can’t cost you anything in the future. It’s just bad manners.
Life, too
A similar Mad Genius concept applies to real life: If you’re not going to kill ’em, let ’em save face. — MC
