Updated WP Events Calendar (used in right sidebar to show daily entry additions) from version 6.7.4 to 6.7.5. Also activated this plug-in.
Removed WP Events Calendar from right sidebar. (The update to version 6.7.5 was deemed unacceptable, because it added blue to the gray-scale theme and prevented the previously available functionality of seeing previous months. A replacement widget may be chosen or programmed in the future. Reverted to non-enhanced WP calendar previously used.)
Activated Get Recent Comments plug-in, placed related widget on right sidebar below “Poker1 messages,” titled it “Poker1 comments,” configured to show eight most recent with entry title above, text truncated to 80 characters
Moved “Poker1 entries by date” from right sidebar, below “Poker1 messages” to left sidebar, below “Poker1 library”
Modified Get Recent Comments widget to separate entry title from comments and comments from each other with line breaks
Modified Get Recent Comments widget to show commenter’s name in bold italics and the first 100 characters (maximum) as regular, non-bolded text (entry title remains in bold). Also modified HTML so that number of comments is not appended to entry title, and changed pop-up text when hovering over commenter name to “Read this comment.” Other minor changes.
Restructured sidebars, moving “Mike Caro plays at…” to left side at bottom and eliminating “Free tips by e-mail” (will be placed somewhere else on site) and second instance of “You are here:” from right sidebar. New order is, top to bottom: (Left sidebar) “You are here,” “Featured content,” “Poker1 library,” “Poker1 entries by date,” “Search Poker1,” and “Mike Caro plays at…”; (Right sidebar) “Search Poker1” (a duplicate instance at the top — left-side instance is near bottom), “Welcome to Poker1” (quotes widget), “Follow Mike on Twitter,” “Poker1 messages,” and “Poker1 comments.”
