While you often hear of certain people going out for a fun evening playing online poker, or men heading out after work for a few drinks and poker with the boys, most people do not perhaps realise that there’s no single game called poker. In fact, it is a family that includes various games that are similar in most ways, while at the same time have some strong distinguishing features. These games themselves can be organized into broad categories. These include the somewhat complex “stud poker” games, as well as the newer “Hold ‘em” games such as Omaha and Texas Hold ‘em.
