I thought I'd start this topic, as this is what I thought the other topic in 'poker' was going to be about.

So if you won the main event at WSOP what would you buy/spend your winnings on?

Let's try and use our imaginations instead of just listing a house, explain what type, where, etc, etc

For instances I would buy a plot of land in Staffordshire, Uk and have an environmentally friendly, 5 bedroom, 4bathroom, 4 reception room home built and a great big fence around it.

I'd sort out a few close relatives, to make them more comfortable financially.

Save the odd polar bear or two.

Several cars and bikes, including a porche 911 for the wife (she has limited taste in cars), a BIG winnibago.  An Alfa Romeo GT for me to play in, and a GSXR1000 for a bike.

Loads more, but I'll see what everyone else comes up with before carrying on with the holidays, tv, sterio, pc, etc....

still reading the science and learning the art.

Hmm...good question.

For starters, two vehicles.  A black Mercedes-Benz 600 w/ grey interior, and a 1966 GTO convertible w/ cream interior and dark blue "shattered mirror" paintjob.  I like Stingrays too, but I don't know what year would be good.  Probably silver for color on that one.

I would like to buy the Castle of Dracula that, as I hear, is currently for sale for millions upon millions, though that may be out of the price range of even a WSOP winner.  At any rate, I wouldn't live in it, just preserve it, as I hear the people of Romania are quite disheartened with the thought of it becoming a "tourist trap" and Lord knows they've had a rough enough go of it what with the AIDS epidemic and the Ceasescu's tyranny and such.  I suppose that would be my "saving the odd polar bear" as it were.

As far as actually preserving nature, I would buy large amounts of land and have a few national parks, though I fear I would have to pay a lot for park rangers to keep the animals and plantlife safe from human interference.  I'm of the sort who likes to leave only footprints and take only photos, not to keen on litterbugs and bonfires and the like.

I'd buy a bunch of music, a bunch of wine, a bunch of books, a bunch of movies, a massive entertainment center, two top of the line Macs and two top of the line PCs, a Brooks Bros. suit and some nice shoes, and maybe one piece of art, be it a painting that catches my eye or a sculpture.  Oh, and some Glenlivet and Maker's Mark.

And a very comfortable bed.  A comfortable bed is key.

Hello El

i reckon my first one would be self cutting grass for my garden...i hate gardening...or concrete over the lot and paint it green. a top piano tacher to learn me piano ( i sing in a group but can't play any instruments...i am garbage with instruments). a form of sat nav for my kids, so i knew where they would be all the time, and track them all the time. I would also love this one.....we read about some poor kid with health problems etc etc, give them a ring and send them and their family to disneyland, or some other place of their choice if they are frightened of grown men dressing up in huge foam costumes..

My car would be a top of the range 8 seater people carrier as i have got 6 kids (stretch limo or something)

But to tell you the truth i wouldnt change much as i am quite happy with my lot at the moment..But give me more time and i will give you a list that would use up a rainforest.

one more thing......tour europe and enter every major tourney possible as i could buy in without worrying about the cost of it.
